ScreenDiet is designed with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not collect:

• Your personal identity, email, or contact information.
• The names, categories, or tokens of apps you select for focus sessions.
• Your web browsing history, website domains, or screen time activity.
• Location data or IP addresses.

2. How FamilyControls & Screen Time API Works

ScreenDiet utilizes Apple's native FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity APIs to enable app shielding and session timers:

• On-Device Authorization: Screen Time permissions are granted locally on your iOS device directly to Apple's system framework.
• Protected Tokens: App selections are stored as opaque tokens managed securely by iOS `UserDefaults` within an encrypted App Group sandbox on your device.
• No Developer Access: As a developer, we do not have access to the underlying list of applications or web domains you choose to restrict.

3. Local Storage & Data Retention

All app settings, focus profile names, schedules, and break timers are stored exclusively on your device within local application storage. Deleting the ScreenDiet app immediately purges all local settings and profile data from your device.

4. Third-Party Services

ScreenDiet does not include third-party advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or analytics services. No behavioral data is shared with third parties.

5. Children's Privacy

Since ScreenDiet collects no personal information whatsoever, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
