What is the "Never Miss Twice" rule?
It's a habit-building philosophy. Missing one day of a habit is a mistake, but missing two days in a row is the start of a new (bad) habit. Our app forgives a single missed day (it won't break your streak), but missing twice will reset it to zero.
What is Lite Mode?
Lite Mode is a relaxed version of Habit 180. If you feel overwhelmed, you can turn on Lite Mode in Settings. It extends the grace period to 5 days and colors missed days blue instead of red. You'll earn special Bronze milestones instead of the standard Gold/Silver ones.
How does Vacation Mode work?
If you are going on a trip or need a break, you can toggle "Vacation Mode". This instantly freezes all your active streaks so they won't be broken while you are away. Once you return, simply turn it off and pick up right where you left off.
Can I recover a broken streak?
Yes! If you simply forgot to log a habit yesterday, you can tap the calendar at the top of the main screen to go back in time and mark it as done, recovering your streak instantly.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. We don't require an account to use Habit 180. All your habits, streaks, and schedules are stored securely and locally on your own iPhone. We have no access to it.
Why is the target streak 180 days?
Studies show it takes anywhere from 18 to 254 days to form a new habit, with an average of 66 days. We set the ultimate goal to 180 days (about 6 months) to ensure the habit becomes an unbreakable, automatic part of your lifestyle.
